Epic Adventures 2020 (Part III)

Next phase: Tanks. Getting a headstart here in May I painted up a detachment of Landraiders to start off. At the same time I have once again decided to alter my paint scheme a bit.

Now I am inspired by this 1st edition scheme.

1st edition box art.

And searching the net I found Ben Hardwidge's awesome Blood Angels which gave me the drive to finish my Landraiders.

1st detachment done.

Bloood!

Side view.

I think these turned out great and I will deffinately boost them to a full company over time. Everyone loves Landraider companies anyway.

  1. incredible! I really love the blood drop design you done. I don't know if it is just standard or yor own design, but it is pretty great!

    1. Thanks, it was a bit knock off from that Ben guy I linked too and the 1st edition box. Works good.

    2. Ah yeah... guilty of just looking at the images and not spotting the link ;-)

  2. I love the magenta approach to the red instead of the classic orangey red paintjob from the studio.

    1. Thanks. I never really liked the Blood Angels "orange" for my own minis, so I try to stick a bit to the same colours as my Rogue Trader Blood Angels.

  3. Great looking Land Raiders and I love the very classic inspiration from the back of the original game. I remember looking at that giant box in hobby stores when I was 10 and wanting to play but knowing it was both out of my price range and over my head at that age.

Your shading on the models really makes the details pop and I have to figure how to do that on the blue and green Land Raiders I'll be painting.
